A couple of things actually:
- to have my nails done;
- getting my planning for the next week on the rails, using my new planner;
- having drinks with friends;
- getting my camera on the charger for the photo outing I have planned with my daughter, for Sunday.
Today was yet another emotional day. The last of mom’s furniture was moved today. The last they took with them was the chair mom always sat in, and I made a striking image of only the chair in the empty room. It says it all. It says: empty, lonely, sadness… this is the end. I cannot look at the photo without feeling tears stinging. Her house is empty now. We are closing off a chapter in our lives, but we will never forget her. Never ever. She is the woman who gave life to me, but she’s also the woman who loved me unconditionally, always, no matter what.
And she died far too young…
This was my answer in 2016.
