I went to the grocery store today to get mom some groceries. Mom has been ill for five weeks now. Coughing. At first she thought it was because of the smoke on New Year’s night, coming from the fireworks. Two weeks later she started coughing up some blood. Last week she went to the doctor and yesterday she went back. She was sent for chest X-rays and today the doctor came with grave news… next week she starts with a series of appointments at the oncologist. The GP said it doesn’t look good. We have to wait until we hear the final diagnosis from the oncologist. I will be with her every step of the way.
I went to get her groceries because she needed it and cannot do it herself. She’s too out of breath to do it. We had a shopping day planned for Sunday and she still wants to go, but in a wheelchair. Walking is just to tiring. I’m worried… really worried. Life goes on, but the next patch is going to be f***ing rough. Excuse my French.
How much I spent at the grocery store? I have no idea… I just did what I needed to do.
This was my answer in 2016.
