Microwave Chutney

Make sure you stir the chutney every other minute until the sugar is completely dissolved, to make sure it doesn’t turn into a sandy mixture.

This recipe gives you about 300 ml of chutney and takes 30 minutes to make.

200 gr mango, diced
1 onion, diced
125 ml white wine vinegar
250 ml soft brown sugar
A half teaspoon masala
Just more than half a teaspoon of turmeric
2 cloves of garlic
1 cinnamon stick

  1. Place all ingredients in a glass bowl suitable for the microwave.
  2. Microwave the mixture for about 20 minutes. Stir the mixture every couple of minutes. If you let it cook too long it becomes sticky and syrupy. When this happens, add a bit of water and stir until the water has dissolved in the syrup.
  3. Put the chutney in a sterile bottle with a lid and seal.

Chutney is delicious with curries!
